Paris Dreamscapes: Exploring the Most Breathtaking Views

An aerial view of the city of Paris

Paris is a city that never ceases to amaze and inspire. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler, you’ll always find something new and beautiful to discover in the City of Light. But where are the best places to enjoy the most breathtaking views of Paris? Here are some of our favorites:

The Eiffel Tower:

Of course, no list of Parisian views would be complete without mentioning the iconic Eiffel Tower. You can admire it from various angles and distances, but nothing beats the experience of climbing to the top and seeing the whole city spread out below you. You’ll need to book your tickets in advance and be prepared to wait in line, but it’s worth it for the unforgettable panorama.

The Arc de Triomphe:

Another emblematic monument of Paris, the Arc de Triomphe stands at the end of the Champs-Élysées, overlooking the Place de l’Étoile. You can climb the 284 steps to the top and enjoy a 360-degree view of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and the Sacré-Coeur. You’ll also get to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the eternal flame that burns beneath the arch.

The Montparnasse Tower:

If you want to see Paris from a different perspective, head to the Montparnasse Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the city. You can take an elevator to the 56th floor and enjoy a panoramic view from the indoor observatory, or go up to the 59th floor and step out onto the open-air terrace. You’ll get a stunning view of Paris, especially at sunset or at night when the city lights up.

The Sacré-Coeur:

The Sacré-Coeur is a majestic basilica that sits on top of Montmartre, the highest hill in Paris. You can reach it by taking a funicular or climbing the stairs, and once you get there, you’ll be rewarded with a splendid view of Paris from above. You can also enter the basilica and admire its impressive architecture and artwork, or climb up to the dome for an even higher view.

The Notre-Dame Cathedral:

The Notre-Dame Cathedral is one of the most famous and beloved landmarks of Paris, and although it was severely damaged by a fire in 2019, it’s still worth visiting. You can see its magnificent façade and towers from the outside, or join a guided tour to see its interior and learn about its history. You can also climb up to the towers and enjoy a view of Paris from a medieval perspective.
